How to Get from PUJ or SDQ to Club Med Miches Playa Esmeralda

Club Med Miches Playa Esmeralda is one of the most remote luxury resorts in the Dominican Republic — and that remoteness is the whole point. It sits on Samaná Bay, far from the tourist corridor of Punta Cana.

From PUJ, the drive takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. The route goes north through Higüey and into the Samaná Peninsula. The roads are paved but narrow in sections — a standard SUV or minivan handles it comfortably.

From SDQ, count on 3 to 3.5 hours heading east along the Las Américas highway before turning north toward Samaná.
